We are on countdown and there are only 300 days to go until Days in the Dioceses starts here in Melbourne!Melbourne’s Days in the Dioceses has hit the 10,000 registration mark! Although this is an amazing milestone it is important that our local Melbournians register now to avoid disappointment. The registrations for Melbourne continue to climb but without the important ingredient of local hosts and fellow pilgrims accompanying our international guests to World Youth Day (WYD08), the event will not have the same level of enthusiasm. With the time ticking down to our celebrations here in Melbourne it is now time to register your group or your individual details as part of your group registration. Australians love to show others how hospitable we are but without the involvement of our families and friends of pilgrims we won’t be able to make the Days in the Dioceses Melbourne event so memorable.Days in the Dioceses offers pilgrims a complete program of events and activities, taking in tourist, spiritual, cultural, musical and life changing experiences. The program also offers participants a complete pilgrim experience of youth interaction, pilgrim sharing of faith and travel on route to the WYD08 event in Sydney. In less than a year now we will be welcoming pilgrims of different cultures from around the world and we will be encouraging families to get behind our hospitality effort here in Melbourne. DID08 needs over 10,000 families to host up to 25,000 pilgrims who will be visiting Melbourne during Days in the Dioceses. Pilgrims will arrive during the week of DID08 celebrations from 10 – 14 July. This is your chance to get involved, learn about a new culture, host an international pilgrim and support the DID08 and WYD08 events. To register your interest as a Melbourne Stay family simply send an email to info@did08.comNow is the time to get involved. Only 300 days to go and we will be welcoming the world to Melbourne!
