CatholicCare’s Walking Angels
Tuesday 17 July 2012
Kairos Catholic Journal
By Angela Paterno-Smith
ON Sunday 15 July, CatholicCare staff, family and friends participated in
The Age
Run Melbourne event as part of our ‘Walking Angels’ team.
In this instance, it was more than a fun run!
This event brought people together across the whole organisation with a fantastic sense of camaraderie and participants thoroughly enjoyed the run or walk.
What surprised me the most was the competitive nature it brought out in the staff, because everyone wanted to do their best to raise the most money.
It really put the fun back into fundraising! Over $4,500 was raised to date and the beneficiaries will be the disadvantaged families that need CatholicCare’s counselling, support, refugee and asylum seeker support, and mediation services and Chaplaincy Services.
Well done everyone!!
The target is $5,000. It’s not too late to donate:
