MELBOURNE Archbishop Denis Hart performed
the Solemn Blessing during the Official Opening of the Bruce Runnalls Middle Years
Centre at Thomas Carr College on Thursday 6 March.
The new $7 millon purpose built state
of the art education facility was completed in late 2013 to accommodate this
year’s Year 7 students.
It includes twenty general purpose
learning areas, two science laboratories, associated preparation and staff
rooms and a computer centre.
Principal Dr Andrew Watson said the
College was honoured to have Archbishop Hart and Executive Director of the
Catholic Education Office in Melbourne, Mr Stephen Elder attend the blessing
and opening of the Centre.

Watson also expressed his gratitude to the Catholic Development Fund (CDF) for
providing the finance for the project.
