Lay Ecclesial Ministers (LEMs), just like the ordained, need and deserve formation of high standards that will provide them with the necessary skills and resources to adequately minister to the community they serve within. The LEM Accreditation Standards
document outlines a series of standards and competencies that are required in order to obtain accreditation as a LEM in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. There are various ‘grades’ of accreditation all with a corresponding and expected level of competency.
Final Round of Applications closes 29 September
Applications for accreditation as a Lay Ecclesial Minister in the Archdiocese of Melbourne are assessed by the LEM Assessment Panel. The final round of applications for 2017 is currently underway and all applications must be received by Friday 29 September. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in early November.

All Pastoral Associates, Pastoral Workers and Lay Chaplains are asked to mark the following dates in their diaries:
- Morning Tea - Tuesday 19 September, 10.30am @ Cardinal Knox Centre East Melbourne
- Annual Christmas Mass & Luncheon - Thursday 7 December, 12noon (mass) followed by lunch @ St John the Evangelist East Melbourne
