The One License Copyright scheme has been introduced in Australia. A few parishes have asked what this new scheme is all about. To assist parishes in understanding the effects of this acquisition, we encourage you to read through the following FAQs.
The new company, jointly owned by GIA Publications, Inc. (GIA) and Oregon Catholic Press (OCP), will retain the ONE LICENSE name, Chicago offices, and OneLicense.net or OneLicence.net website URLs. Willow Publishing will serve as the agent in Australia and New Zealand. Participating publishers include OCP, GIA, WLP, Willow Publishing, Hope Publishing, Copycare Pacific, and many more.
ONE LICENSE will primarily serve Roman Catholic and mainline Protestant communities in English-speaking countries around the world. On the all new OneLicense.net website, music ministers can download and report music sung by the assembly and obtain streaming/podcasting and practice track licenses in one convenient and easy-to-use location. ONE LICENSE is committed to making it easy to obtain reprint permissions for congregational music. From Annual, Event, and Single-Use Reprint Licenses to Practice-Track and Podcast/Streaming Licenses, One License has a license that will serve your congregational music reprint needs.
