Parish Support

Parishes are central to the life of the Church in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. The AOFE exists to serve those engaged in all levels of parish leadership, so that our parishes may be vibrant and visible signs of Christ in the world.

As a resource for parishes, the AOFE  can assist with developing flexible, lively presentations around the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. Presentations are 75 mins in duration and are tailored to each parish. Let us assist you in preparing your parents and other parishioners for active involvement in the preparation of children for the Sacraments.

A key function of the AOFE is to provide support for parish pastoral leadership including the creation, formation and development of Parish Pastoral Councils. AOFE offers support and formation for parish leadership through the provision of regular lectures, seminars and workshops on parish leadership and pastoral life and ministry. Where appropriate the office works in conjunction with the Ministry to Priests to present events that develop a sense of collaborative leadership across the Archdiocese.
