School Social Justice Groups

MARIAN COLLEGE, Sunshine

STAND UP DAY 2008

On 17th October 2008

46,868 students, parents and teachers
from Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne stood up against poverty and in support of the

UN Millennium Development Goals

This formed part of a world record 116.9 million people around the world who
believe it's time to

MAKE POVERTY HISTORY

Whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren,
that you do unto me

Students are encouraged to be aware of their place in the community and the role they have in supporting all members of it. We have a chapter of St Vincent de Paul at the College and we also participate in the Brigidine Justice and Democracy Forum.

The Archdiocese is committed to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and vulnerable adults.
