Parents Aware Drug Education Program

Do Your Kids Know More About Drugs Than You Do?
Parents Aware can help!
Parents Aware is a drug education program for parents, pioneered by the Manly Drug Education & Counselling Centre were run in Rowville in 2005 by the Rowville Ecumenical Social Justice Group, with funding and support from the Knox City Council. Parents Aware will help parents:


* Understand drugs better: their names, their effects and when and how they are used
* Identify some of the factors that lead to harmful drug use
* Better understand their teenagers’ development
* Communicate effectively with their children about drugs
* Connect with local drug services and networks
* Share the knowledge they have gained with other parents
* Contribute to community efforts to reduce the harm caused by drug us
