Relive the outpouring of faith!

Monday 15 September 2008 With much demand, World Youth Day 2008 will be releasing a pastoral DVD collection available for sale from the end of September 2008.  A commemorative book will also be available for sale in mid November. The DVD collection is not only for people wishing to relive the great event, but will be a pastoral tool for Churches, schools, youth groups and communities to help spread the word about the power of Christ’s love. The set of eight DVDs contain: Highlights of the Journey of the Cross & Icon through Australia Opening Mass celebrated by Cardinal Pell Papal Arrival including Boat-a-cade, official welcome at Barangaroo and Motorcade through Sydney’s streets Stations of the Cross Dedication of the Altar at St Mary’s Cathedral with the Holy Father Evening Vigil with the Holy Father Final Mass celebrated by the Holy Father Highlights package of the WYD08 week The DVDs can be purchased as a boxed set for $79.95 featuring 8 events.  The Stations of the Cross or Highlights package can be purchased individually at $24.95 each. The World Youth Day commemorative book will be a beautiful hardcover souvenir book, available towards mid November, in time for Christmas. Published in conjunction with The Catholic Weekly, this collector’s book will serve as an official account of the event week, coupled with stunning photos and addresses from the Holy Father, plus other religious leaders.  People can register their interest online at www.wyd2008.org.
