Fr David Cartwright
Vocations Director

Fr David Cartwright was born in Melbourne and educated by the Dominican sisters and Marist Brothers. After studying at Corpus Christi College in Clayton and Carlton, he was ordained in the Jubilee Year of 2000 by Archbishop George Pell. He holds Honours and Masters Degrees in Theology and a Master of Arts in Spirituality. He has served in the parishes of Glenroy, St Patrick's Cathedral, Mill Park and is currently the Parish Priest of St Fidelis, Moreland. He has served as Diocesan Prefect of Ceremonies, Diocesan Youth Chaplain, National Chaplain to the Catholic Women's League. He has been to four World Youth Days. He has been a sessional lecturer to Catholic Adult Education Melbourne and served on the Board of the Archbishops Office for Evangelisation. He has been a Chaplain to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem since 2001. He currently serves on the Archbishop's Personnel Advisory Board. He has been Vocations Director for the Archdiocese of Melbourne since June 2014.

Fr Thinh Nguyen

Fr Thinh Nguyen is one of thirteen children of Hang and Coi Nguyen. He was educated by the Marist Brothers in Preston. Having gained his Bachelor of Building Engineering at Victoria University of Technology, he worked at Lincolne Scott Consulting Engineers for four years, before attending Corpus Christi College, Carlton in 2000. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2006 for the Archdiocese of Melbourne and since then has served as assistant priest in Deer Park, spiritual advisor for the Archdiocesan Office for Youth, Parish Priest in Fitzroy, as well as chaplain at the University of Melbourne. Fr Thinh is currently on the Formation Staff at Corpus Christi College, the Regional Seminary for Victoria and Tasmania

Fr Nicholas Pearce

Ordained a Priest in 2010 at the age of 26, Fr Pearce is one of the youngest priests in Victoria. Fr Pearce grew up in Melbourne and first felt the call to the priesthood when he attended WYD in the year 2000. After finishing school he studied and worked with young people in a variety of settings before heading to the Seminary. Along with his work for the Vocations Office Fr Pearce is the Parish Administrator at the Holy Family Parish, Mount Waverley and Chaplain to the St Vincent De Paul State Youth Team.
