This website is designed for Catholics who are trying to discover what direction their life is going in and what plans God has for them.
It will help you to think and pray about your vocation and begin to understand where God is leading you in your life.
It answers many of the practical questions you may be asking: What are the different Catholic vocations? How does God guide us and speak to us? How can I be more open to my vocation and come to a decision?
It explains the Catholic vocations of single life, married life, consecrated life, the permanent diaconate and the priesthood and shows how you can know whether God might be calling you to one of them.
It is important to seek God's will and to be open to his plans. But there is a danger of becoming so anxious about your vocation, so caught up in a future that does not yet exist, that you forget about living the life that God has already given you. So yes, do put some time and effort into considering your vocation - be open, be generous, be brave. But at the same time be grateful for the person you are now, and for the work God has given you to do today.
