Level I. Part A.    (Age 3 – 6 years). Beginner’s course - six days of lectures and presentations. Formation Leader: Anne Delsorte, Director of Corinda-Graceville Atrium, Brisbane.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Christian formation process for children aged 3 to 12 years, in which they experience and form an authentic, faithful relationship with God. The Catechesis is grounded in scriptural and liturgical study framed by Maria Montessori's principles of education. This allows children to hear the Gospel through the use of sensorial rich materials. The children are free to work with these materials that represent essential proclamations of the Christian message.

The adult's task is to prepare the sacred space for the children, called 'the atrium', so that they can respond to this holy relationship, first proclaimed to them through Jesus, the Good Shepherd.

Registration due:  Friday 7 March 2008.
Cost: $250. Cheques payable to Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Victoria.

Training will be conducted and accredited by the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Australia, in accordance with the requirements of the International Association of CoGS. Formation courses are organised in three levels; each one is a pre-requisite for the course that follows:

Level I (Parts A & B)    3 – 6 year old children.
Level II (Parts A & B)    6 – 9 year old children.
