Mary MacKillop Pilgrimage 2010

Departing 6 October 2010 for 15 days and 12 nights

Sr. Maria Casey RSJ, who is the Postulator for the Cause of Canonisation of Mary MacKillop is encouraging Australian Catholics to join, wherever possible, in celebrating the canonisation as a recognition of the holiness of Mary MacKillop’s life.

An official pilgrimage is being organised by the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

The pilgrimage will be led by Fr Greg Bennet. Fr Bennet is the former director of the Ministry to Priests and the Archbishop's Office for Evangelisation, has studied spirituality in Rome and is currently appointed as Parish Priest of St Bede's, North Balwyn. Fr Bennet is delighted to have the opportunity to join pilgrims on this occasion of great and historical significance for the Church in Australia and the Archdiocese of Melbourne as the birthplace of Mary MacKillop.
