Connect Youth Ministry Networks

In 2015 the Archdiocesan Office for Youth is launching a new initiative - Connect Youth Ministry networks. Regional meetings will be held three times during the year (in February, May and October) and will provide key youth ministry leaders with an opportunity to receive important updates, network with other local youth leaders and be practically assisted in their ministry.
  • Key youth ministry leaders from both established and aspiring youth ministries.
  • To facilitate ongoing networking for youth ministers within each region. This will occur face-to-face during the CONNECT meetings but also independently of the AOY once relationships have been established. The AOY will also create an optional contact list which will be sent around to all interested members.
  • To inspire collaboration for youth ministry within the regions
  • To communicate to youth leaders the latest information about planned events and resources from the AOY, and receive essential updates on major projects including World Youth Day and the Australian Catholic Youth Festival
  • For the region to give feedback to the AOY on how they can better be supported in their youth ministry. This could be general or related to specific events, resources or professional development requests.
The following dates have been set for the first round of meetings in February 2015:
  • CONNECT South: Monday 11th May, 7:30-9:30pm, St Gerard’s Parish, Dandenong North
RSVP here by Friday 8th May
