WYD2016 Formation session 2

The journey to Krakow is well under way for World Youth Day pilgrims from the Dioceses of Ballarat, Melbourne, Sandhurst and Sale. Over 300 young people gathered on 21 May for the first state-wide formation for Victorian pilgrims. They reflected on the life and legacy of St John Paul II, who called Krakow his home, and studied the history and culture of Poland from where the message of Divine Mercy spread to the world. The pilgrims also participated in an Amazing Race through the city of Melbourne, sampling delicacies from the Polish Deli at the Queen Victoria market, practising their Polish greetings, and attempting a little Polish dancing in the Fitzroy gardens.

The first group of Victorian pilgrims will leave depart Melbourne on July 18. To keep up to date with WYD news, visit
