The Australian Catholic Youth Festival day 2!

The atmosphere of day 2 of the Australian Catholic Youth Festival captured a sense of enthusiasm and joy. 20,000 young people came together with open minds and willing hearts. Singing and dancing to songs of praise and worship. But also centering themselves in profound moments of silence and prayer.

There was a diverse range of activities set up for throughout the day. The plenaries, workshops, live music, adoration, mass, reconciliation, and all sorts of creative stalls set up in 'The Dome' of Olympic Park and much more.

A deeper understanding of courageously saying 'yes' to God carried throughout the day. Yes to the will of God, Yes to his word, and Yes to the glory of his presence - all captured in the essence of Mary’s bravery in saying Yes to the Lord during the time of the Annunciation.

The day concluded with an amazing final plenary session at Qudos arena. The highlight being a time of adoration gently introduced by Steve Angrisano and backed by a combination of heartfelt music played by Grammy-nominated musician Matt Maher.

The Australian Catholic Youth Festival continues on Saturday, and will finish off with Closing Mass at the Domain in Sydney Botanical Gardens.
