The Advent season is meant to be a time of invitation, an opportunity God gives us to recenter ourselves and have our souls be fed. But in the midst of shopping and parties, planning vacations and every day’s news it can be hard to see beyond the next ten minutes.
In this evening of talk and prayer, Jim McDermott, SJ offers participants a chance to take a break from the busyness and rest in the gentle invitation of Advent.
Fr. Jim McDermott, SJ is a screen and magazine writer based in Los Angeles. He first came to Melbourne in 2008 as part of his formation as a Jesuit and has since come back many times to give talks, visit friends and watch footy at the MCG.
