Made for Greatness
We are VERY excited to announce an upcoming event we have been working on together, in collaboration with several other Vietnamese Youth Groups within Melbourne.
To celebrate 2018 the Year of Youth, we are hosting a one-day event to bring together Vietnamese young people from all around Melbourne and various youth ministries, in a festival-like atmosphere to discover and deepen our faith through friendship and discipleship.
Deep within each of us there is a potential for something extraordinary. Whatever our faith journey thus far, whatever barriers the world throws at us, we believe that God has created us to be great! We invite you to experience the young Vietnamese Catholic church from a different perspective, in a day of inspirational talks, workshops and music in a first of its kind event in our community. Featuring:
GUEST SPEAKERS: Fr Thomas McFadden (OFM Capuchin) "What are we made for"? Sr Trish Franklin (IBVM) "Will you be a witness?" Andrew & Tara Sciberras "Love and Relationships", Br. Nam Nguyen (CSsR) "Facing challenges of faith in a new environment"
SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCE: Singer-song writer, Genevieve Bryant, who has performed internationally at World Youth Day (WYD) 2016 Poland, Australian Catholic Festival (ACYF) 2017 and who’s original hit “Pure of Heart” was chosen as the theme song for ACYF 2015.
