Be My WitnessBe-My-Witnesses_1

A resource developed by Young Christian Workers/Young Christian Students (YCW/YCS) for
parishes, communities and school groups to ensure the World Youth Day (WYD) experience
lives on beyond WYD itself. It provides activities and suggestions for parishes and pilgrim
groups to use after WYD. While many of the activities use the WYD experience as a focus
for reflection, many of the activities could easily be adapted for groups that didn’t go to WYD.

You can download a free copy of this resource here. If you use this resource please acknowledge
YCW/YCS as the authors.

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops WYD 2002 Follow-up Manual

This resource was developed by the United States Catholic Bishops Conference in response to WYD 2002 held in Toronto, Canada. It provides practical advice for getting a youth ministry group started in your community as well as a program of formation sessions. While some of the language used can be very American – you can easily translate the ideas into an Australian context.

It is available online at: www.usccb.org/laity/youth/wydmanual.shtml#ii

Seasonal Resources

We Wait with Joy: An Advent Resource for Young People 2012

Another Advent season is upon us and to help you to focus on what's really important this
season, the AOY has created a resource for young people, both individually and in youth
groups to enter more deeply into the season of Advent. The resource contains the Gospel
readings and some reflection questions for each day of Advent. Each Sunday also includes
some prayers that can be used either in Mass or during a group prayer time. In addition,
there are some other sections that people may find interesting or useful in helping them
prepare for Christmas. Two versions are available, one is ready to print into a booklet,
just get your printed to flip on the short edge and it will be ready to go! The other is in
single pages which is easier for reading from the PDF directly.
