We are very pleased to announce the opening of our second grantmaking cycle

The grantmaking is guided by the Mission of the Fund, and to meet the requirements of the Trust grants are allocated to eligible recipients within the geographical boundaries of the Archdiocese of Melbourne. The Fund provides support prioritised toward program, operational or capital costs.

An opportunity is available for eligible recipients from 1 April to 31 May each year to submit a grant application. Allocations of grants will be announced by the end of October and distribution of funds will be carried out early December.

2019 Grant Application Guidelines

Please read these guidelines prior to completing and submitting an application as there have been changes since the 2018 grantmaking cycle.

Applicant eligibility 

  • The organisation is to be endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) as covered by Item 1
  • The organisation is to be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and a Tax Concession Charity (TCC)
  • The grant seeking organisation will have a commitment to Catholic tradition and social justice
  • The Program / Project ultimate beneficiaries are to be located within the geographical area of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne. 

Additional information

  • One application will be accepted by each organisation
  • An eligible organisation can apply for a grant up to the dollar amount of $100,000
  • Only single year grants will be considered
  • The purpose of a grant application will focus on helping overcome disadvantage, inequality and exclusion.
