What is the Sacrament of Baptism?

Baptism is the beginning of a life grafted onto Christ, and it is the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation.  We invite you to view this short video (approx 3 mins) by way of introduction to this sacrament.

Celebrating Baptism in our Parish

It is an ancient tradition for infants to be baptised but children of all ages are welcome. If you would like to have a child baptised here in one of our communities you will need to:
  • attend a single session of preparation for Baptism - usually the 2nd Wednesday night of each month (dates below)
  • fill in the appropriate paperwork - please click on the appropriate category in the list below and follow the instructions: 
  • invite at least one person, who is a baptised Catholic and who has been confirmed, to be a godparent
  • each family is asked to make a contribution of $50 to the ongoing support of the Baptism Program and the general upkeep of the parish. Please pay this amount, at the time of booking, with the following  bank details:
