The Melbourne Summer School of Evangelisation is your WYD @ Home!
For the first time, the Melbourne Archdiocese will be offering a specific WYD @ home program for those who can’t attend WYD2019 in Panama. The AOY is working with the Disciples of Jesus Covenant Community, who have been running Summer Schools of Evangelisation for young people across Australia for more than 30 years. In Melbourne, this week-long camp usually attracts up to 150 young people a year who come to celebrate and learn more about their Catholic faith.
In 2019, the Melbourne Summer School of Evangelisation will be offering a special WYD themed Summer School and have moved venues and dates to cater for an even larger crowd! The Summer School will include many of WYD features such as Catechesis with bishops, a Stations of the Cross, an expo and a final Mass. In addition, the theme for Summer School will follow the theme of WYD in Panama, ‘I am the servant of the Lord, may it be done to me according to Your word’. All of this will be added onto to their already famous and successful Summer School regular features such as evening rallies, prayer, sacraments, small groups, seminars, workshops and more.
The Summer School will be held from Sunday 20 - Sunday 27 January 2019 and is available for all young people aged 16-35.
